Women In Motorsports 2026
Our annual Women in Motorsports (WIM) Conference returned this year, expanding to include motorsports, business, and entrepreneurship. Featured speakers Carol Wilder, Carollynn Schafer, and Pamela Anderson shared their experiences and expertise, followed by an audience Q&A and networking opportunities.
Sunset Ranch - Car Launch
On April 3rd, we celebrated the launch of our newest race car at Sunset Ranch Golf Course. Surrounded by the friends, family, sponsors, alumni, and supporters who make our team possible, the event marked the culmination of countless hours of dedication, collaboration, and perseverance. More than just unveiling a vehicle, it was an opportunity to recognize the community that stands behind our students.
Innovation Gala 2026
Hosted by UBCO Motorsports, the Okanagan Innovation Gala was our first large-scale event, created to connect ambitious engineering students with industry leaders and potential sponsors. Featuring speakers Don Furseth, Isaac Holeman, and Lance Schafer, alongside vehicle displays from Audi, BMW, and Classified Motorsports, the event welcomed over 150 attendees and showcased the impact of student-led innovation.
Kick Off BBQ
On October 6 2024, we had our kick off BBQ. We had many alumni, new members, and a special guest Ms. Kelowna!
Recruitment 2024
On September 30, the team recruited new members! Now the team is up to 160 members!
Okanagan Dream Rally
On July 27th, 2024, the team brought the race car to the Okanagan Dream Rally! The Okanagan Dream Rally is a car rally where children in need ride as co-pilots in dream cars, creating lasting memories while raising funds for charity.
GIVING DAY
On April 4th, 2024, the team raised $23,572.00 thanks to the support of our community!
BBQ TEST DAY
On April 6th, 2024, the team hosted a BBQ test day and invited alumni, faculty, and the whole team! We had a great turn out and even got to meet the UBCO Principal and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Lesley Cormack!
OKANAGAN TECH INDUSTRY NIGHT
On February 22nd, 2024, the team presented at the Okanagan Tech Industry Night and won $1,500.00 for having the best booth!
Women In The Automotive Industry Conference
On March 2nd, 2024, we hosted our first ever women in the automotive industry conference with female speakers from Tesla, Penske, Enterprise, and Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team.
HIGH SCHOOL CLASS VISIT
On February 9th, 2024, the team welcomed local high school students to tour the race shop and learn about engineering and motorsports.
SAE BC
PRESENTATION NIGHT
On November 27th, 2023, the team drove down to Vancouver to showcase their game plan for this year to all the SAE teams in British Columbia, and won $400.00 for having the third best presentation.
